Lil Lopes Dance & Cheer Clinic

The Grand Canyon University Spirit Squads are excited to host a Fall “Lil’ Lopes Dance & Cheer Clinic” this year!

Please read below before registering for important information. 

Clinic Location: GCU Lopes Performance Center - LPC

Spirit Parade: Start at Lopes Performance Center and concludes with a GCU Spirit Program rally at the Arena

Schedule:

• Clinic Check-In at LPC: 10:30 AM
• Clinic Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Clinic Showcase at LPC: 1:20 PM
• Lil Lopes Spirit Parade: 1:45 PM
• GCU Spirit Program Pep Rally at Arena: 1:50 PM
• GCU Women’s Volleyball Game at Arena: 2:00 PM – OPTIONAL. Tickets will be provided if you would like to stay and cheer for our Lopes!

Important Clinic Details

• Clinic instruction led by GCU Dance Team and GCU Cheerleaders includes turns, kicks, leaps, game day chants, tumbling and stunting, parade dance motions and a dance performance routine.
• GCU swag provided: Lil Lopes T-shirt and pom poms - to be worn for the Spirit Parade
• Clinic will host a special visit and photo opportunity from GCU’s mascot, Thunder!
• Recommended Clinic Attire
  • Comfortable shorts or pants to move freely in
  • T-Shirt or tank
  • Dance shoes or tennis shoes
  • Hair secured away from face
• Labeled and closed water container
• During the clinic, parents are welcome to stay and watch your child or you are free to leave! Either way, please plan to be back to the Lopes Performance Center by 1:15 PM, as we will perform for you around 1:20 PM
• If you are dropping off your child for the clinic, please be sure your phone ringer is ON and you have good service, in case we need to reach you for an emergency.

Per NCAA rules, all sport camps and clinics conducted by Grand Canyon University are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions as specified by each camp.
