Important Details
- Clinics will be held in the Canyon Activities Center (CAC) located on GCU Campus, on the southwest corner of Missouri Ave. and 29th Ave.
- Tryout Prep Clinic includes dance combinations in the styles required for college dance team tryouts, Game Day chant/sideline, turns combination and technical skills and tricks for GCU Dance Team Tryouts
- All participants will receive written individual feedback from the GCU dance coaching staff and veteran team members regarding technique, performance, and interview skills.
- Participants will receive a packet with tips for college dance team tryouts and scoring rubrics for the GCU Dance Team audition.
- Coaching staff will be awarding a “Tryouts 1st Cut By-Pass” to the top dancers attending the clinic*
- Please dress appropriately in audition dance attire, hair and makeup, and bring athletic shoes and/or dance shoes. Please bring a writing utensil. You may also bring a refillable water bottle and light snack.
*These clinics are not mandatory to audition for the GCU Dance Team, nor does it guarantee on a spot on the GCU Dance team.
High School Senior or Transfer Student? Email us at gcudanceteam@gcu.edu for more information on visiting GCU with Discover GCU or Transfer Experience and getting the most of this day on campus! Transfer student must be 22 years or younger to attend.
Per NCAA rules, all sport camps and clinics conducted by Grand Canyon University are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions as specified by each camp.
